Some of you might have seen my snare drum book entitled 20 Modern Snare Drum Solos that was released in 2024. When I wrote that book, I really had the drumset in mind meaning that most of the vocabulary found in the solos was meant to be applied on the kit. I did include a section at the end of the book where I shared many ideas as far as how to do that, but I felt I could have done more. Hence this article.
