Your drumming persona takes shape the same way an actor might prepare for a role. We all do this naturally. The “you” that goes to work, isn’t the same as when you’re with your kids, or with your friends. The difference is most people aren’t intentional about the personas they bring into play. They don’t design, they settle. We’re not just finding ourselves. That part of our identity came from our upbringing, environment, all the factors in which we didn’t have a say.
