Triplets to Sixteenth notes

This is an exercise that I call Triplets to Sixteenth notes. This entire exercise can be played over the foot patterns written in bar A, B, and C. For starters, I will play a bar of triplets and then I’ll play sixteenth notes. That’s cool but what I like to do is change the groupings of the sixteenth notes into (1 & a 2 & a 3 & a 4 & a) as seen on Line 1. It’s all alternate sticking that will wind up sounding almost like you’re speeding up and slowing down the triplet, so it’s a little bit of a time shift.
