Latin Percussion is proud to launch the limited-edition Tito Puente Signature Timbale and Cowbell sets to mark the centennial of the birth of ‘El Rey del Timbal’. Famed composer, band leader, and percussionist, Tito Puente, had a career that spanned more than five decades. In his lifetime, he played with many leading jazz performers including George Shearing, Dizzy Gillespie, and Woody Herman. Tito was a revered ambassador for Latin jazz and the Latin Percussion brand, playing a huge role in elevating both to the global mainstream with hit songs such as ‘Oye Como Va’. In recognition of his pioneering musical styles, he received seven GRAMMYS® and was nominated fourteen times. In addition, Tito was given their Lifetime Achievement Award following his death along with being inducted into the GRAMMYS® Hall of Fame.
