Concept Select Series Snare Drums PDP’s new Concept Select Series is a collection of three beautiful metallic snare drums designed with DW Drums in California. PDP obviously sought to up its game with these metal glories, and, as a result, there has already been online commentary about the pricing being close to what some of the company’s complete shell packs go for, as well as the fact you can get some excellent gig-worthy PDP snares for under $300. So, yes, the street prices for these three new Concept Select snares span from $499 to $949. But any initial sticker shock aside, these are solid, professional-sounding snares—each of which can produce an extensive range of tones—with absolutely captivating exteriors.
