Photo by: Kadin Tooley The band for KING + COUNTRY is a Christian pop band led by Joel and Luke Smallbone. Joel is a singer-songwriter, and Luke Smallbone is a drummer-singer-songwriter. Both Luke and Joel play drums and percussion during the band’s live show, as does the entire band.  In 2012, Billboard called for KING + COUNTRY “One of the New Artists to Watch.” American Songwriter called them “Australia’s answer to Coldplay.” In 2014, their album Run Wild, Live Free, Love Strong won a Grammy. In 2020 they released a Christmas album called A Drummer Boy Christmas, in 2022, they released their fifth album called What are We Waiting For? and 2024 will bring the release of their feature film Unsung Heroes.     Their live show features Luke Smallbone (and his son Phoenix) both playing  field drums, drummer Garrett Tyler, and percussionist Chris Karabelas.
