This month’s Eye Candy kit is a Pearl set that was custom created by John Douglas. This is a replica of Vinnie Paul’s Damage Plan kit. The kit features two 24 x 26 bass drums, 14 x 14 and 15 x 15 rack toms, 18 x 18 floor tom, and an 8 x14 snare drum. John Douglas custom made this kit for the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame museum in South Florida. This is one of only two of these sets that John Douglas made. Vinnie Paul’s original set resides in the Hard Rock Cafe in the Universal Orlando resort. Everything on the kit was hand painted and the drums were covered in barbed wire as per Vinnie Paul’s request.
