Throughout the years Carl Palmer has played many different drumsets with several iconic bands: Ludwig VIstalite, Ludwig Stainless Steel, a Custom Stainless Steel set, a Premier Steel set, Yamaha, Remo… It’s an extensive list. Carl’s long-standing relationship with Paiste has led to the development of custom gongs, and a signature ride cymbal. He was also on the cutting edge with his early inclusion of electronics. All of this equipment has helped Carl develop an identifiable sound and style that has pushed bands like The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Atomic Rooster, Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, Asia, and his new Welcome Back My Friends, The Return of Emerson, Lake, & Palmer Tour to the forefront.
