Calgary teen isn’t precious about gigging with his 1960 Slingerland kit.

Taylor Miles is just 15 years old, but he has already earned veteran status with his band, Exit Division. The Calgary, Alberta, alternate-rock group has played tons of gigs and festivals (pre-COVID), wrote and recorded tracks for its debut album during the pandemic, took third place at the 2019 Ship & Anchor songwriting contest for the song “Hunger,” and released its debut album, Psychosis, in 2020.

Three years ago, Miles found this 1960 Slingerland Radio King kit at an estate sale and snatched it right up. The rig includes a 16"x22" bass drum, a 16"x18" floor tom, a 9"x13" rack tom, and a 5½"x14" Super Krupa snare drum.
