Zildjian’s 400th Year Anniversary Celebration As part of Zildjian’s 400th year anniversary celebration, the company has commissioned a special T-shirt honoring one of its legendary artists, Art Blakey. All profits from the new T-shirt will go to the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund – not just for the month of February, but in perpetuity. Celebrating the influence and artistry of legendary jazz drummer Art Blakey, it features a hand-drawn portrait by artist Aline Decat. Art Blakey is famous for his role in developing the bebop style of drumming and was known for his ability to maintain independence with all four limbs.
