Rogers USA – Covington Series Drums

A faithful reproduction of the mid-century originals with a fewwelcome upgrades. Rogers is one of the oldest names in American drum manufacturing. Joseph Rogers founded the company in 1849 to make drumheads, but in the 1930s his son steered the brand into drum building. In 1953 Joseph’s grandson, Cleveland, sold the company to Henry Grossman, who moved the factory from Farmingdale, New Jersey, to Covington, Ohio. Under Grossman’s leadership, Rogers became one of the preeminent manufacturers of high-end and innovative drum products, including the coveted Dyna-Sonic snare drum. Grossman sold Rogers to CBS Musical Instruments in 1966, and the brand changed ownership several times over the years before finally landing in the able hands of Taiwanese manufacturing titan Joseph Chen, founder of Reliance International Corporation.
