This month, I have the great honor of shining the transcription spotlight on a fantastic drummer and an even better human being: Gregg Bissonette. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to see Gregg perform live and to watch him teach a full room of inspired drummers at his summer camp. Whether he’s playing with Los Lobotomys in an LA club, recording music interludes for the show Friends, touring with Ringo Starr, or mentoring the next generation, he does it all with brilliance, class, and unmatched positivity. He’s truly a phenom— and one of the nicest, most humble guys you’ll ever meet. I’m thrilled to feature a song written by his brother Matt, who also plays bass and sings backup vocals.
