Everything is About Breaking Habits Terri Lyne Carrington is only the second drummer-bandleader to win a Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group… and she has done it twice. The first was Art Blakey. Her first win was for Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue, and this year she won for her new recording New Standards Vol. 1. It’s an ambitious project of music written exclusively by women jazz composers and features some outstanding drumming. Terri also published a book called New Standards: 101 Lead Sheets by Women Composers, so musicians around the world can start playing the songs from her new record and book.
