I wasn’t good at sports and I was having a hard time finding girlfriends. It was 1982. I was ten years old, and just getting into the music of the day, new wave, the Police, and stuff. My older brother was a music enthusiast. I wanted to be in a band from the second I got into rock and roll. I liked the way music and rock and roll made me feel. It looks cool, and the people on my record covers looked cool. I wanted to be them.
