Leaner Workhorse Mics at the Right Price Announced in time for NAMM 2024, SE Electronics released their SE4100 and T1 large diaphragm condenser microphones. These new additions to sE’s product line are modeled after the sE4400 and T2 mics and designed to deliver the same quality and performance (minus a few options) at a lower price. We received factory-matched pairs of each model for this month’s product close-up. What’s in the Box? Each matched pair of sE condenser mics are packaged in a sturdy latched flight case. The foam interior safely houses two microphones, two shock mounts, and a threaded mounting bar for stereo mic positioning. Specifications In terms of specs, the sE4100 and the T1 are almost identical. The only difference is that the sE4100 has a black chassis with a gold-sputtered capsule/diaphragm while the T1 has a metallic-colored chassis and titanium-sputtered capsule/diaphragm.
