Hollywood, Florida Resurrection Drums was founded in 1982. Originally located in a warehouse by the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport in Broward County, Florida, the company literally focused on resurrecting quality used drums. In 1983 Resurrection moved to a location in Hallandale, Florida, and became a legitimate retail storefront. The current owner, Jeff Lee, is the third in the shop’s history. When Lee took over there were two locations, one in Miami and one in Hallandale. He then bought a 5,000-square-foot building in Hollywood, halfway between Miami and West Palm Beach on I-95, the shop’s sole current location. There are some impressive names listed on the RezDrums.com Alumni page, including Brendan Buckley, Derek Roddy, Russ Miller, and Nic Collins. Pictured here are past and current crew members (from left) Sydney, Jeff Lee, Nic, Evan, and Chico. I’ve been playing all my life. My mom says I beat the paint off the crib. […]
