Responsible for that undeniable and easily identifiable pocket is Eric Kretz. When STP’s iconic debut album, Core, was released in 1992, the band began a meteoric rise to fame on the back of the burgeoning grunge scene. With influences rooted in the rock, pop, and R&B artists of the ‘60s and ‘70s, the band proved on subsequent albums they possessed not only the tools, but the musical vision to earn their rightful place alongside the greats.
