Ebenor Quality Percussion: Noranda Copper Snares

Modern Drummer received an extremely cool snare from Ebenor’s Noranda Copper Collection to see what we thought of this high-end offering in the world of snare drums. Ebenor is a high-end, custom shop located in St-Sebastien, Quebec, Canada, and their mantra is quality! The drums and components (shell, hoops, lugs, stainer, butt, etc.) are carefully hand-made by William and Gilles Leclerc and Ebenor has become a benchmark on the Canadian market. So, let’s see what makes these snares so good. The Noranda Copper shell snare we received is a 6.5×14” cold-rolled, all-copper shell. The shell is paired with ten Ebenor brass tube tugs, two Ebenor silver welded bronze counter hoops, and a newly introduced Ebenor brass snare throw-off and butt.
