DW Drums and Guitar Center hosted their annual DW Factory Day in Oxnard, CA on August 23. The day started with a drum off hosted by Guitar Center’s drum buyer Glenn Noyes and Roland VP of Sales Jim DeStefano. The all-star judges of the drum-off were Kenny Aronoff, Fausto Cuevas III, Richie “Gajate” Garcia, Damon Grant, Matt O’Connor, Daru Jones, Stephen Perkins, and John Hoffman. Chad Wackerman did a workshop followed by a demonstration by DW co-founder John Good and Primus’s new drummer John Hoffman. Next up was the highly anticipated Slingerland unveiling, with DW co-founder Don Lombardi and John JR Robinson. The final event of the day was a clinic and signing with Marilyn Manson drummer Gil Sharone.
