Maysun (Etienne Mason,) an electronic artist and Radical Hybrid Drummer from Canada. He is a drummer at his core, but his true passion is expanding the potential of the drums by incorporating modular synthesis into his kit. He has created hundreds of videos over the past few years, and he is very meticulous about explaining his set up and workflow on each video. He uses ‘randomizing’ features in his modular system to bring an element of surprise to his compositions. The results are complex, improvised, richly layered musical soundscapes.
