Tama’s Dream Theater Custom Logo kit

The kit shown here is from Dream Theater’s 2002-04 tour. It was created by Tama drums to meet Mike’s imaginative specifications and was dubbed “The Siamese Monster” because it essentially consists of two conjoined kits. The massive collection of drums includes four deep-shelled octobans (6” diameter, single headed melodic toms) on the left side of the kit and two shallow-shelled ones on the right. A Latin Percussion Tito Puente timbale is mounted below the left-side octobans. From left to right the rack toms measure 8×8, 9×10, 10×12, 10×14, and 9×13. A 6×10 timp tom sits between the 5×14 wood snare drum on the left and a 5×12 hammered steel shell snare drum on the right.
