Bobby Daniels is the supreme accompanist. He’s pushing a decade as Kenny Rogers’ drummer, and if you’ve seen Rogers in concert, you know the wide variety of material he offers his audiences. As Rogers roams the circular stage in the round, making sure he’s visible to everyone, Bobby is watching and anticipating his next move. During “Coward Of The County, ” Rogers throws a punch and Bobby is on top of it with a dramatic cymbal crash. It’s Bobby who provides the bounce to “Love Will Turn Us Around” which propels Rogers with equal bounce.
