Kenney Jones talks about Faces Live at the BBC

With all the new releases and reissues of special boxsets, it can be easy to miss one (or two or three.) When Rhino announced the release of Faces Live at the BBC: The Complete Concert & Session Recordings 1970-1973, Modern Drummer took special notice. The Faces are a slightly forgotten, yet highly influential band. Faces were the continuation of the Small Faces (who formed in England in 1965, with singer Steve Marriot.) Faces were later formed in 1969 (without Marriot,) and consisted of Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane, and Kenney Jones. The band was very influential on the Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, Tina Turner, and many of the other bands of the time. But it was their live performances that made the biggest impact.
