Evgeny Novikov went from grinding seven-hour practice days in Russia to smashing stages across the world with Slaughter to Prevail. He went from playing in tiny clubs with broken kits to having viral moments playing on tunes like “Demolisher.” He’s built his name on pure discipline, speed, and the kind of blast beats that feel like they might crack the earth in half. MD: What motivated you to pursue a career as a metal drummer growing up in Russia? EN: I’ve been playing drums since I was 14.
