This month’s Modern Drummer Kit of the Month comes to us from drummer Lou Caldarola. Lou’s kit was created by Romano Cotone of RCI Starlite Company in CT. Moondust shells were a limited run consisting of clear acrylic shell with added holo-foil flakes for an added sparkle effect. The shell was inspired by the classic super ball you’d get from a vending machine in the 70s. The shells are the welded “seamless” style for a warmer sound and tone. This kit was also outfitted with full acrylic dress diamonds on the main bass drum and both snares. It is an outstanding sounding kit with an unmatched and unique look.
