Join Erik Eldenius, longtime drummer for Billy Idol, as he gives Modern Drummer a rundown of his drum kit. Modern Drummer caught up with Eldenius during Billy Idol’s spring 2023 tour, and gives us a thorough look at what he’s playing on these days — which includes a classic maple Ludwig kit, several Sabian cymbals, and Remo drum heads. We also peer into his world with the help of Trevor Matthias, who has been Eldenius’ drum tech for 10+ years.

Eldenius and Billy Idol are currently on a break in between tour dates, but they’ll both return to the stage in late August for another 2023 North American tour. The dates culminate in October with a short residency at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas; get tickets here.
