Modern Drummer always enjoys spotlighting new recordings that have the drums at the center of their sound. These recordings in all styles might be drummer-led, or just include a high-quality, special, or unique drumming and musical performances from the drummer and/or musicians in the band. In 2024 Modern Drummer chose to highlight over 100 new recordings of the several hundred we received; in our 2024 year-end issue we have gone through all the recordings that we spotlighted to select an Out Now, Best Recordings of 2024.
