This month’s Kit of the Month comes to us from Ken Mondillo of Philadelphia, PA. This is his replica Pat Benatar / Myron Grombacher, Japanese drum set. Many of us saw that iconic set being played by Grombacher, who is a fantastic drummer, behind Benatar’s voice, and Neil Geraldo’s guitar and songs for the first time. Ken tells us, “I was in love with this drum set from the day I saw it on MTV back in the 80’s. I’ve always wanted to replicate it so when I was asked to join a Pat Benatar Tribute Band some 30 years later, I went and did it.”  Ken, sometimes true love takes precious time to materialize. We hope you are hitting (this kit) with you best shot(s)!
