This month’s Modern Drummer Kit of the Month is a little different from previous months. William Hegdahl’s beautiful purple Mapex kit with gold hardware is very cool. But it was his hardware and the use of his rack that drew our interest. If you look closely, everything on the left of his kit, and everything on the right of his kit is all suspended by one leg of his rack. Assuming this is a sturdy configuration, this is a great use of a rack, but don’t worry, this column won’t be renamed rack of the month. “Listen to them… What music they make! Long live Count Rackula.
