It’s clear that drummer Zar Sukoi’s early influences are The Professor Neil Peart, Billy Cobham, Simon Phillips, and Terry Bozzio. However, since his band needed more than the essentials, he altered his kit to accommodate RotoToms. After a good deal of sweating, sawing, welding, and cursing, he succeeded in altering the hardware to make his RotoToms adjustable and easily positioned. These alterations smoothed the way for creating his own brand of sci-fi metal progressive punk music. Zar’s drum set consists of: Two 14×22 Tama Rockstar DX Bass Drums; a 16×16 Tama Rockstar DX Floor Tom; a 5×14 60’s Rogers Powertone chrome over brass snare; 8×11 and 8×12 Tama Octobans; and a 6, two 8’s, 10, 12, and 18” Remo RotoToms.
