Castle Tapered Snares

Massachusetts-based craftsman David Cheney has developed a unique conical snare drum shell with function as its focus. The shell is created using solid wood staves and features a 14″ batter side that tapers down to a 13″ resonant end. We were sent two to review. Let’s check them out!

Solid Maple

Solid Bubinga

For more on these drums, check out the complete review in the May 2015 issue, which is available here.
