In this video from NAMM 2015, Dream Cymbals and Gongs president, Andy Morris, takes on a tour of what’s new from the company for this year.

Dream is a Canadian company making hand-hammered, cast cymbals in China, and new this year are extensions to existing lines. The company introduced two 16″ hi-hats: one to the Energy line that provides a meaty sound with a lot of volume and one to the Contact line that offers a brighter sound. Also added is an 18″ crash to the Ignition series.

On the orchestral side, Dream has added finger cymbals in four sizes.

Dream is now the exclusive North American distributer of a new drum called the Wambooka. The Wambooka is a one-piece polycarbonite shell that you put water inside. Adding water inside this drum allows you to bend pitches and create all kinds of sonic effects in an acoustic or amplified environment. The Wambooka retails for $249.
