Segment four of our tribute to Ringo Starr, shot during the Fest For Beatles Fans celebration, begins with host Michelle Joni Lapidos welcoming former Billy Joel/Slim King/BJ Kramer drummer Liberty DeVitto. DeVitto demonstrates two songs from the Joel album The Nylon Curtain that were inspired by Ringo, and discusses a few of his favorite of Ringo’s drum parts. Liberty then introduces Ringo’s personal photographer, Rob Shanahan, who shares his stories about working and hanging with the ex-Beatle. Rob fills us in on how he met the superstar, displays a few of his photos, talks about Starr’s new Zildjian drumsticks, and Paul and Ringo’s Grammy performance.

As we reported earlier, Ringo launched his All Starr Band tour earlier this year. Here are the remaining dates. (To purchase tickets, go to ringostarr.com.)
