Ron Powell Conducts Free Percussion Clinic and Performance on 9/27

Presented by GoDpsMusic Live and Latin Percussion, Ron Powell will perform Friday, September 27, at 6:30 pm PST, at the GoDpsMusic artist showroom, which is located at 810 Lawrence Drive Ste. #128 in Newbury Park, CA.

Ron Powell, a percussionist, accomplished musician, clinician, author, and performer, has over forty years of experience. He has performed with over a hundred notable artists, including Kenny G, Barry White, Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Earth, Wind, and Fire. He has also been a part of many unique and historical performances, including White House engagements of three US Presidents, the Queen’s Ball in England, and events for Princess Diana, the Sultan of Brunei, and Nelson Mandela.
Ron has an instructional book called Conga Drums and is a part of Percussion Magic, a three-man ensemble that performs over sixty shows a year for thousands of children in the public school system. The show introduces students to music, percussion, and ethnic diversity. He is also a part of Two for All, a storytelling duo that uses percussion and guitar to help children express themselves.
