Jordan Plosky of Big Time Rush

Jordan Plosky of Big Time Rush drummer blog

Hi there! First off, thanks to Modern Drummer for letting me introduce myself to its audience. My name is Jordan Plosky. Originally from New York, I now live in Los Angeles with my wife, daughter, and dog. I currently play drums for Big Time Rush (Sony/Nickelodeon). We’re embarking on a two-and-a-half-month headlining summer tour across the U.S. and Canada. We’re playing arenas and amphitheaters. Dates are listed at www.btrband.com/events. Check ’em out!

I’ve been a professional drummer for over seven years and have played for more than a dozen major-label artists. You can find the complete list over at my website, www.jordanplosky.com. There are some videos, photos, and news there as well.

Growing up, my inspirations were Tré Cool, Brett Reed, Bobby Schayer, and Erik Sandin. Since then, I’ve really learned to love a lot of different drummers, like John Bonham, Roger Taylor, Carter Beauford, Liberty DeVitto, Dave Grohl, Dominic Howard, and many others. Advertisement

I am starting up a podcast and hope to repost here when it’s launching. I currently endorse Truth Custom Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Pro-Mark Drumsticks, and Evans Drumheads.

We’ve just scratched the surface. There’s much more to blog about, but I just wanted to introduce myself here to the MD world. Rock!
