The Re:Generation Music Project examines the history of different music through the eyes of five of the most influential electronic producer/DJs in music today. For the project, Mark Ronson, DJ Premier, the Crystal Method, Pretty Lights, and Skrillex each take a specific musical style and explore it by writing and recording a brand-new track with a group of influential collaborators in that genre. Ronson’s New Orleans–inspired track features Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, as well as Erykah Badu, Trombone Shorty, Mos Def, and members of the Dap Kings.

The Generation Music Project is accompanied by a documentary directed by award-winning film maker Amir Bar-Lev (My Kid Could Paint That, The Tillman Story) that will enjoy a unique nationwide, one-night-only theatrical release in select cities and venues this February 16, with encore screenings to be scheduled for February 23.
