Why is Ed Shaughnessy never a candidate for the Hall of Fame?

  Likely because Ed has been forgotten (that is not a judgement). If Modern Drummer been around in the 1960s and 1970s Ed would likely have been on the list. Now it will likely not be until he dies (like Freddy Gruber or Jim Chapin). Many of these wonderful drummers are forgotten as new drummers appear and overshadow their work. Should ed be on the list, is he deserving… hell yeah! But then there are many drummers who should be on the list, I am not going to list anyone as that will cause an argument and I do not want to go down that path. Just be aware, I agree with you “guest” that it would be nice to see Ed on the list, but I have a feeling that it will require his passing before that will occur. Cheers, Karl

Brian Frasier-Moore is more than earned his name on the hard list for Pop and R&B drummer. He has done the biggest gigs in this category, Madonna (two tours) Christina Aguilera ( 3 tours), Janet Jackson (two tours) and tons of others as well. Hands down the busiest, most working drummer of today. A hell of a nice guy to boot, very humble.
