We took a look at some of the incredible work of forward-thinking master drummer Jojo Mayer and his band Nerve back in the September 2020 issue. Jojo’s playing is so innovative and virtuosic that we couldn’t cover everything in one article. Here’s another ten transcriptions to dig into and draw inspiration from for your own drumming.

Jojo utilizes multiple snares to a great effect on this Photek-inspired tune. The left hand plays ghost notes on a jingle snare while the other two are used for fills and accents. (4:49)
