The post-hardcore/self-described soul-punk group has released its third album. The band, which has drawn comparisons to Rage Against the Machine, Deftones, and Refused, combines many different genres and puts their own spin on the hardcore genre. Drummer Christoper Crandall pounds furiously on the record, while new addition Loniel Robinson is playing with the band on the current Vans Warped Tour.

Jonathan Scales showcases his virtuosity on the steel pan drums on his self-titled debut. Drummer/percussionist Phill Bronson drives the Fourchestra’s modern grooves with his graceful polyrhythmic chops and supplemental percussion.
Whitesnake Made In Britain/The World Record
Multi-platinum band Whitesnake has released a two-CD package of songs from its 2011 tour. Made In Britain/The World Record feature live recordings from the group’s recent Forevermore album as well as their most recognizable tunes, such as “Is This Love” and “Still Of the Night.” Brian Tichy holds down the drum chair.
Duduka Da Fonseca Trio New Samba Jazz Directions
The drummer/leader applies his worldly knowledge on this release featuring pianist David Feldman and bassist Guto Wirtti. “Samba and Bossa Nova have been at the heart of my playing since the beginning,” says Da Fonseca, who suggests that recording the album in his birthplace, the neighborhood of Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, helped give the project an authentic and natural vibe.
Trampled Underfoot Badlands
The family trio echoes blues and roots-music greats like Janis Joplin and Buddy Guy. Guitarist Nick, vocalist and bassist Danielle, and drummer Kris Schnebelen use their hereditary musical talents to their advantage. Says Kris, “The bonds are stronger with family—you’re more familiar with each other, that’s for sure.” Producer and drummer Tony Braunagel plays percussion on some tracks.
Raven Rock Until You Drop
The two-disc documentary DVD Rock Until You Drop—A Long Day’s Metal Journey chronicles drummer Joe Hasselvander and his group Raven’s long career as one of the top acts who came out of the new wave of British heavy metal movement, including their focus on “athletic rock” and putting on a high-energy live show. The set features interviews with Lars Ulrich of Metallica and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, as well as over four hours of footage from concerts.
Rob Hart Trio 3000 Realms of 10 Worlds
Playing an exciting blend of organic traditional jazz, fusion, funk, and Latin music, the San Francisco Bay Area native and Berklee graduate Rob Hart expands his musical palette on his trio’s new album. “The concept of this CD is to divulge many musical styles from different ethnicities and countries around the globe, to explore beyond musical boundaries,” he says.
