Shawn Drover of Megadeth Modern Drummer Drummer Blog

Dallas, Texas, September 24

Since Megadeth reformed back in 2004, this year has certainly been the busiest for the band in terms of touring. We have been going pretty much straight through since David Ellefson rejoined the band back at the beginning of the year. Certainly, one of the reasons for this has been the success of us performing the Rust In Peace record in its entirety. To be honest, we were only going to perform the record for one North American tour leg, but word spread like wildfire and the rest of the globe pretty much demanded us playing the record. So here we are eight months later (and one live DVD, which was released a few weeks ago), getting ready to start up another tour leg with Slayer and Anthrax (Clash Of The Titans, for those who are metal historians, now called the Jagermeister Music Tour). I am excited about it for many reasons, but mostly just to bring this music to the fans of heavy metal. To those of you who will attend any of these shows, I hope you will enjoy them half as much as I will.
