Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg To Perform Four Shows
Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg will perform four upcoming shows in New England. On February 11 the band will be in Uncasville, Connecticut doing a free show open to the public; on the 12th they’ll be in Londonderry, New Hampshire; the 13th finds them in Scituate, Massachusetts; and the 14th, Valentine’s Day, they’ll be at the Tupelo Music Hall in Salisbury, Massachusetts. The first three dates will include special meet & greet sessions.
All shows will showcase Blitzkrieg’s new song “When We Were Angels,” which was recorded with Michale Graves, ex-Misfits. (Blitzkrieg features Graves on vocals, Alex Kane on guitar, and Clare B on bass.) The song, which made its debut on Matt Pinfield and Leslie Fram’s 101.9 RXP morning radio show in NYC last week, can be downloaded exclusively on iTunes.
Marky Ramone is best known for the fifteen years he spent drumming for the legendary New York punk band the Ramones. Marky appeared in the cult classic film Rock ’N’ Roll High School in 1979, performed more than 1,700 shows, and recorded more than fifteen albums with the Ramones. In 2002, Marky and his bandmates became the first punk rock group to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Six years and going strong, Marky’s radio show on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio was rated the #2 show on the Faction channel in 2009. Marky has also recently appeared on Anthony Bourdain’s TV show No Reservations and on IFC’s Z ROCK.
