Bethel Woods Center For The Arts Kicks Off 2010 Season With Ringo Starr

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is kicking off its fifth season in style, announcing its first concert date featuring living legend, Ringo Starr and His All Star Band.

It took more than 40 years, but on Saturday, June 26th at 8:00p.m. a Beatle will finally play at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. While the Fab Four turned down the offer in the Sixties, Ringo Starr was scheduled to appear in 2008, but due to an equipment breakdown on the tour, the date was cancelled. This summer, Bethel Woods audiences will finally have the opportunity to experience the legendary drummer and His All Starr Band, featuring Rick Derringer, Richard Page (Mister Mister), Wally Palmer (The Romantics), Edgar Winter, and Gary Wright. For more than a decade Ringo Starr and His All-Star Band have been pleasing crowds with memorable rock-and-roll hits played by some of rock’s most talented musicians.

And for the first time Ringo Starr has decided to take charge and produce himself. The result is perhaps the most personal and impressive album of his solo career, Y Not, featuring former band mate Paul McCartney, in stores on January 12, 2010.

Reserved ticket prices are $79.00, $59.00, $39.00, and $29.00 for lawn, plus a special lawn 4-Pack for $90.00. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. at www.BethelWoodsCenter.org , the Bethel Woods Box Office, Ticketmaster, or by phone 1-800-745-3000. The Bethel Woods Box Office will be open on Friday - Sunday, January 15-17 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. General admission parking is free, premium parking is $25 and available when you purchase your ticket.
