Tony Royster Jr. Headlines the 26th Annual Guitar Center Drum-Off

Guitar Center’s 26th Annual Drum-Off Finals took place this past January 17, at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Gregg Bissonette hosted the event, which included five finalists facing off in a drum solo showcase. Shariq Tucker, from the Bronx, New York, was named the winner by a panel of star-drummer judges. The evening also included Matt Garstka performing with Animals as Leaders, Steve Jordan playing with the Verbs, Stephen Perkins and Tim Alexander joining together for an epic version of King Crimson’s “21st Century Schizoid Man,” and Tony Royster Jr. playing marching snare with a mini drum line, doing a kit duet with Mike Moore, and performing with a full band. Here are some video highlights from Royster’s set.

Tony joins Alex Blake, Ralph Nader, and Harvey Harv to show off their marching snare chops.
