Paiste at NAMM 2015 (VIDEO)

In this video from NAMM 2015, Andrew Shreve, marketing and artist relations manager for Paiste America, takes us through the new cymbals from Paiste for 2015.

First up is Dave Lombaro’s Reign Ride, a 22″ Rude Power ride based on an early model he had from the ’80s, when he recorded Reign in Blood with Slayer.

Next is the new Stewart Copeland–inspired Combo-Crisp 12″ hi-hats. The set consists of a Signature alloy bottom and a B20 alloy top. This combination allows you to get a crunchy and chunky character and sharper bite plus a softer sound from the B20 top.

Paiste also added the PSTX line, which features perforated cymbals for drummers who want to incorporate more controlled, exotic, gated sounds that are user friendly in acoustic situations but also work well in electronic settings. The series includes pure-toned 9″ and 10″ aluminum bells as well.

Two other new products are the 10″ 2002 Mega Bell and the 22” 602 Medium ride.

The NAMM Show 2015, a trade-only event for the music products industry, was held January 22-25  in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center.
