Apply two accents to eighth note triplets (three strokes per beat) with fluency and at the same time combine them with the rest of the drumkit. Control their co-ordination so that you can accentuate with complete accuracy. Master the "ternary" concept, a very useful one for styles such as blues, jazz, shuffle, etc. This exercise will make you pay close attention to rhythmic changes. Master the changes to make sure not to deform the figures.

Quarter note = 50-60 Work at slow speeds at first so that you can hear all the values clearly and control the rhythmic changes. Be careful when switching from one figure to another and make sure to avoid mordents. Be very exacting with yourself in your first steps. Then lower the speed by 5-point intervals until you reach 40. Once you have done this you can increase the speed until you reach your limit. Play these exercises at first at a reasonable volume, to gain confidence. Pay attention to each stroke, to make sure that they all sound with the same intensity, except, of course, the accented strokes, but be careful that this does not cause you to tense up. Concentrate on keeping your muscles and tendons relaxed. Work on different levels of volume on the accents.
