Thirty-second notes are perhaps the most complex figure, owing to the number of
strokes per bar. In one bar of four-four there are thirty-two, and eight to a
quarter note. This type of exercise will help to master fluently breaks with
strokes alternating hands and to play at high speeds.
It requires work, and listening to each stroke to assimilate its sound thoroughly.
quarter note = 50-60 Start working at this speed so that you can clearly hear the changes.
Remember that some of the changes, such as from thirty-second notes to quarter notes,
involve considerable leaps. Then lower the speed by 5-point intervals until you reach 40.
Once you have done this you can increase the speed until you reach your limit.
Be very exacting with yourself in your first steps.
