The Montreal International Jazz Festival
From June 26 - July 6, 2008 the Festival welcomes a gallery of acclaimed icons of jazz and its related musics, while showcasing exciting new musical discoveries in every genre and from every continent.
The indoor concert program alone totals over 150 shows in 15 series, including major artists from: Aretha Franklin to Woody Allen and including the likes of Leonard Cohen, Return To Forever, Abbey Lincoln, Dianne Reeves, James Taylor, Lee "Scratch" Perry, The Wailers, David Murray, Michel Donato, Guy Nadon, Ravi Coltrane, Coral Egan, Steely Dan, Katie Melua, Yael Naim, the double program featuring Al Green / Lizz Wright, and the return of Lewis Furey.
