The 2nd Annual “East Meets West” Groznjan International Percussion Summer Camp will be held at the Jeunesses Musicales International World Meeting Centre in Groznjan, Croatia from Saturday August 9 through Saturday August 16th, 2008. The stellar line up of international instructors, clinicians and guest speakers include Marco Minnemann (Germany/USA), Jojo Mayer (Switzerland/USA), Robby Ameen (USA), Nippy Noya (Indonesia/Holland), Petar Curic (Croatia), and MD journalist, Mike Haid (USA). A leading Drum & Percussion Summer Camp in Southeastern Europe, East Meets West offers the percussion student a week of intensive master classes, drum clinics, concert performances, seminars, and roundtable discussions. Set in the relaxed and intimate surroundings of this ancient, medieval artist village, the Groznjan International Percussion Summer Camp is located in the Northwest region of Croatia, 10 miles from the beautiful Adriatic Coast and a half hours drive from Italy. Drummers, percussionists, and drum/percussion enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels are welcome (passive attendance registration required). Registration begins June 1st 2008.
